Bingwa Connect — Privacy Policy

Effective date: 12 October 2026. This policy explains how Bingwatech ("we") handles your personal information when you use Bingwa Connect.

1. Information we collect

• Account information: your name, display name, email address, country, and phone number, provided at registration.
• Content you post: posts, stories, comments, group listings, and media you share through the platform.
• Usage information: basic technical data (device type, browser, timestamps) needed to run the service securely.

2. How we use it

We use your information to create and secure your account, display your profile and activity to the community, provide features you request (such as status sharing or ad campaigns), and keep the platform safe from abuse.

3. What we do NOT do

• We never sell your personal information.
• We never post to or read your WhatsApp without a feature you explicitly enabled or paired.
• We never claim your phone number is verified unless a real verification process has taken place.

4. Passwords

Passwords are stored only as secure one-way hashes. Nobody, including our team, can read your password.

5. Sharing

Your profile and posts are visible to other members according to your privacy settings. We share data with service providers only as needed to run the platform (for example, hosting and message delivery), and with authorities only where legally required.

6. Retention and deletion

We keep your information while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and personal data at any time by contacting admin@bingwaconnect.ke.

7. Security

We protect accounts with encryption in transit, hashed passwords, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat your data with care.
